How DVDEnvy handles your data. This is a preliminary version and will be expanded before public launch.
What we collect
Account details (email, username, display name) and the data you add — your collection, wishlist, listings, posts, and profile. Sensitive collection fields like purchase price and personal notes are private to you by default.
How we use it
To operate the service: saving your collection, powering search and the marketplace, enabling public profiles you choose to share, and sending relevant notifications. We don't sell your personal information.
Visibility you control
Your profile and individual collection items are private unless you mark them public. Want-to-Buy lists are public by default so sellers can find you; wishlists are private by default.
Your rights
You can edit your profile and remove your data at any time. You may request erasure of identifying information; some non-identifying platform data may be retained as part of the community catalog.
Security
Access controls protect your private data, and admin/moderator actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protection seriously.
